Recently we’ve had a few new people showing interest in becoming more involved with Right to Life.  This is a perfect way to join in, meet some of the people who currently are involved in our local groups, and help us get the word out when it comes to pro-life.  Please help us find volunteers!

Cooperation between Upper Downriver Right to Life (UD-RTL) and Central Wayne County Right to Life (CWC-RTL) is allowing us to enter as an exhibitor at the Melvindale Street Fair on July 27 and July 28! The Street Fair is on Allen Road between Outer Drive and Oakwood Blvd. I will contact volunteers with our exact location on Saturday morning.  We need help with volunteers to fill the time slots.  Can you please share this with your volunteers and members.  Please RSVP to wyandotteRLM@gmail.com.

Emmanuel has offered to help with set up and some of the time there both days.  We can set up at 9 am on Saturday.

We need at least two people to volunteer each shift as follows:  Please provide name, phone and e-mail and reply to:  wyandotteRLM@gmail.com

Thank you!

Wyandotte Street Art Fair

art fair pic

Dates:  Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, July 10-13, 2019

Hours: 10 AM to 9 PM daily.

In the city described as “The Heart of Downriver”, our annual Art Fair draws artists, entertainers, and thousands of patrons to create an event that people of all ages can enjoy.  The fair traces its history back to 1961, in the city along the shore of the Detroit River, among it’s historic and charming downtown area. The 58th Street Art Fair will bring you days of fun, food, entertainment, and art and crafts created from across the state, region and nation, including pottery, wood, fiber, metal, drawings, furniture, basketry, jewelry, cartoons, sculptures, toys, clothing, painting, and so many other types of crafts to look at, or to buy.

As one of the largest fine art fairs in the State of Michigan, the event also offers a variety of music, food, and activities for all ages, and has brought us over 200,000 visitors, 200 artists, 25 restaurants, and a multitude of local merchants, carnival type games for the children, and live entertainment for all to enjoy.  All ages can have fun in a festive environment enjoying the cultural enrichment of Wyandotte.  To see a list of “Entertainment” each day, please scroll down.

Needless to say the Upper Downriver Right to Life will have its table set up close to Elm and 2nd Street, with various pamphlets to read, and a few articles to sell.  We are looking for volunteers for at least two or four hour shifts, but at the very least just stop by and say “hi” to us.
