Nov 26, 2019 President Donald Trump signed an executive action on Nov. 26 to address concerns over missing Native American women. The order creates an interagency task force aimed at improving efforts to find out what has happened to Native Americans who have gone missing and prevent the murders of native women. The U.S. government also plans to distribute grants to improve safety in Native American communities. “We will deliver justice for the victims, closure for the families and safety to those in harm’s way,” Trump said. Native American leaders who attended the signing ceremony thanked Trump for taking action and emphasized how murders have affected their communities. “We cannot have this happening anymore,” said Melanie Benjamin, the chief executive of the Non-Removable Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe.

Despite what anyone thinks about President Trump, the important thing here is how and what the various nations had to say.

President Biden issues proclamation for missing and murdered relatives – Thursday, May 5, 2022

President Joe Biden issued a proclamation declaring May 5 as Missing or Murdered Indigenous Persons Awareness Day. “For generations, Indigenous persons, including American Indians, Alaska Natives and Native Hawaiians, have been forced to mourn a missing or murdered loved one without the answers and support they deserve,” the proclamation from the White House states. “On Missing or Murdered Indigenous Persons Awareness Day, we remember these victims and their families, and commit to working with Tribal Nations and Native communities to achieve justice and healing.” “The Federal Government has an obligation to ensure that cases of missing or murdered persons are met with swift and effective action,” the proclamation continues. “My Administration is fully committed to investigating and resolving these cases through a coordinated law enforcement response, as well as intervention and prevention efforts. We are also dedicated to researching the underlying causes of this violence and to working with Native communities to address them.”

According to Biden, the Department of Justice is “working closely with Tribal Nations to develop regionally appropriate guidelines for these cases.” The apparent lack of progress in creating these guidelines had been raised in a bipartisan letter sent by key members of the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs earlier this week. “The Department of Justice has created a dedicated steering committee to oversee and coordinate this critical work, including an outreach services liaison for Federal criminal cases in Indian Country,” Biden states in the proclamation. The proclamation otherwise does not directly mention Savanna’s Act or the Not Invisible Act, both of which became law in October 2020, before Biden took office. Native women and their advocates have called on the federal government to implement the two laws in order to help address the crisis of missing and murdered people in Indian Country. But Biden touts his signing of the Violence Against Women Act. The new law recognizes the inherent authority of tribes to prosecute non-Indians for a broader set of crimes. It also recognizes the sovereignty of tribes in Alaska, who had been left out of the 2013 version of VAWA. “This important law expands special criminal jurisdiction of Tribal courts to cover non-Native perpetrators of sexual assault, child abuse, stalking, sex trafficking, and assaults on Tribal law enforcement officers on Tribal lands and supports the development of a pilot project to enhance access to safety for survivors in Alaska Native villages,” the proclamation states.

President Joe Biden signed an executive order on Monday, November 16, 2021, addressing violence against Indigenous communities.

“These efforts are a matter of dignity,” Biden said during the opening ceremony for the White House Tribal Nations Summit. “That’s the foundation of our nation-to-nation partnership.”

The executive order directs the departments of Justice, Interior, Homeland Security, and Health and Human Services to create a strategy that will improve the public safety and justice for Native Americans, as well as address the crisis of missing or murdered Indigenous peoples.

“I’m proud to sign it. It’s long overdue,” Biden said while signing the order on Monday. “We’re going to make some substantial changes in Indian Country, and it’s going to continue.”

As of today, August 6, 2022, these are just more promises made but promises not kept but that isn’t anything new when it comes to the Native American nations. What is different though is that there was a time when the news would carry and report on stories like this, but now-a-days, they are all bought and paid for by political parties, and this is why it is imperative that people become more involved and contact the various medias demanding more coverage about this problem, and to use Facebook and Twitter to spread the word. U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders joins Interfaith Leaders at the Islamic Center of Southern California, Los Angeles.  The question one wonders is if Senator Sanders is really naive enough to believe what he is saying while putting himself center stage of a radical terrorists organization like CAIR, who would just as soon see this infidel dead then actually speaking, but hey, one way to come through the back door via the Muslim Brotherhood is by keeping the attention on the front door trying to look like they are an open minded, peaceful organization.

CAIR’s members chanting “We are HAMAS. We are Jihad” in a video of  Director, Hassan Shibly’s CAIR’s Florida group sponsoring a pro HAMAS rally in Miami.

The FBI has allegedly cut ties to CAIR after the Holy Land Foundation trial during which CAIR was listed as an unindicted co-conspirator along with its co-founder Omar Achmad as supporters of the terrorist group HAMAS.

CAIR was listed as a terrorist organization by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in November, 2014, saying the group is “linked to the Muslim Brotherhood, promotes extremism, and incites and finances terrorism.”

Ilhan Omar will deliver her address alongside CAIR’s Florida Director Hassan Shibly.  According to a CAIR flier promoting the event, Shibly is a dedicated Islamist and bigoted gay basher. A fan of radical clerics, he has routinely refused to categorize U.S. designated terror groups Hamas and Hezbollah as terrorist organizations, according to the Clarion Project.

Activists are concerned by Omar’s decision to raise money for various Islamist groups, some of which have been tied to the Muslim Brotherhood, and others labeled designated as terrorist-linked by some foreign governments.  She has generated a lot of condemnation and attention with her anti-Semitic remarks since and before taking office causing a lot of problems inside of congress with those who have a problem with her outspoken hatred and discrimination, while others are apparently scared to speak up as being seen as traitors to their party.

According to Pamela Gellar, an expert on Islam and Muslim terrorists, “Omar is a 35-year-old mother of three and is America’s first elected Somali representative. She is a hijab-wearing Muslim who supports Shari Law, and who entered the United States as a Somali child refugee. Omar never officially held a certification in any government office, but that hasn’t stopped her from being one of the three most loudly heard freshmen in congress, spewing their radical views on the public.

One has to shutter at her attempt in adding her name to the statement, “Today is historic on many fronts. It’s the first time we have voted on a resolution condemning Anti-Muslim bigotry in our nation’s history….We are tremendously proud to be part of a body that has put forth a condemnation of all forms of bigotry including anti-Semitism, racism, and white supremacy”, which is in direct contradiction to her affiliates and ties to various terrorists organizations, along with her recent public hate speech toward non-Muslims.

The democratic leaders in Minnesota were perplexed on advancing a bill banning the barbaric practice of female genital mutilation, stating,  “The bill’s GOP sponsor and colleagues in the Senate have gone wishy-washy on the bill due to pushback from certain segments of the refugee-resettlement industry, which is very powerful in Minnesota, getting paid millions in federal dollars annually to distribute Somali refugees throughout the state.”

After legal battles between the Somali and democratic leaders in Minnesota and those in Michigan concerning  people from Somali bringing their little girls to a suburb of Detroit for the female genial mutilation surgery, the push back from the democrats and Shari loving leadership of both states closed the cases against the doctors who were performing the surgeries, and it was determined in Minnesota that instead of taking the children away from their families or sending the parents to jail, the use of public tax dollars were better used to try to “educate” the population on why it is wrong to mutilate their daughters’ genitalia, somehow neglecting to forget that this is called for by  Sharia Law and that is something that a lot of Muslims will not go against.

A Centers for Disease Control study from last year estimates that 513,000 U.S. girls and women are at risk of having their genitals mutilated and so far it appears people like Ilham Omar and her counterparts are winning.

 

IMMEDIATE ATTENTION NEEDED TO DETERMINE THE FATE OF JUDGE KAVANAUGH

Last week, the Senate concluded a week of confirmation hearings to determine the fate of Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination as an Associate Justice to the Supreme Court of the United States of America.

But special interest groups have been working to block his confirmation. In fact, their obstructionist efforts started before President Trump’s nominee was even announced!

The fact is that the confirmation hearings represented only the beginning of the decision process for the many “swing votes” up for grabs across both the Republican and Democratic members of the Senate. A story posted on the Politico website confirmed that the first committee vote is scheduled to happen this week, and it is expected to be made along party lines.

We MUST fight back while there’s still time to win this battle.

But here is the thing: The Senate only takes action when compelled by the overwhelming voice of their constituency.

That is why, in addition to knocking on over 100,000 doors, making over 350,000 phone calls, and meeting individually with key Senators, Americans for Prosperity is working to get over 1 million signatures on an Open Letter urging the swift confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh.

When we can show Senators on both sides of the aisle that hundreds of thousands of their own constituents want them to confirm a pro-Constitution nominee, it is impossible for them not to take action.

When Does The Brain Fully Develop and Can This Be Part of the Problem?

According to Mental Health Daily (as well as many other medical sources),  “It is widely debated as to which age the brain is considered “fully mature” or developed. In the past, many experts believed that the brain may have been done developing in the mid to late teens. Then along came some evidence to suggest that development may last until at least age 20.” These days, a consensus of neuroscientists agree that brain development likely persists until at least the mid-20s – possibly until the 30s. – Average consensus is approximately 25 years of age.

 

At what age is the brain fully developed?

 

“Although brain development is subject to significant individual variation, most experts suggest that the brain is fully developed by age 25. For some people, brain development may be complete prior to age 25, while for others it may end after age 25.  The mid-20s or “25” is just an average age given as checkpoint for when the brain has likely become mature. It may seem logical that those aged 18 to 25 are completely mature, the brain still is maturing – specifically the area known as the “prefrontal cortex.” Changes occurring between ages 18 and 25 are essentially a continued process of brain development that started during puberty. When you’re 18, you’re roughly halfway through the entire stage of development. The prefrontal cortex doesn’t have nearly the functional capacity at age 18 as it does at 25.

 

What does the prefrontal cortex do?

 

There are a variety of functions for which the prefrontal cortex is responsible. Although significant development of the prefrontal region occurs during adolescence, experts argue that it continues until (at least) our mid 20s.

 

  • Attention: The ability to focus on one thing, while ignoring distractions is a function of our prefrontal cortex. Those with attentional deficits (e.g. ADHD) may have abnormalities within the prefrontal region. Similarly, those who abuse drugs and/or alcohol may end up with attention problems as the brain forms.
  • Complex planning: The prefrontal region is responsible for complex planning. Anytime you set a goal that requires some degree of planning, your prefrontal region is at work. Planning out tasks in your day, developing a business plan, etc. – this region is responsible. An underdeveloped prefrontal region means that your planning capabilities haven’t been solidified.
  • Decision making: We often struggle to make good decisions when we are teenagers, but as we enter our 20s, our decision making improves. This is due to the fact that our prefrontal cortex helps us think logically and make more calculated assessments of situations. Our brain weighs the risks and tells us whether a certain behavior or choice is a good idea vs. a bad one.
  • Impulse control: Struggling with impulsivity is often related to deficits in the prefrontal cortex. The ability to maintain self-discipline and avoid impulsive behaviors hasn’t reached its peak until the 20s. This means that if you struggle with impulsivity when you’re 18, it may get better as you continue to age.
  • Logical thinking: Justifying behaviors based off of emotions rather than logic is common among teens. When the prefrontal cortex fully develops, logical thinking simultaneously improves. This means you will be better at rationalizing and making smarter choices. It also means that your ability to write and solve math problems will improve.
  • Organized thinking: Organizing your thinking can be difficult when you’re a teen. A barrage of thoughts are typically influenced by hormones and you may have concentration difficulties. As you continue to age and your thoughts become more organized. The organization of your thoughts is a result of your prefrontal cortex.
  • Personality development: Your personality is directly expressed based off of your prefrontal cortex. Without proper stimulation, you may struggle with identity issues and developing a favorable personality. Since personality development continues throughout the 20s, you may want to consider how environmental inputs may affect who you are.
  • Risk management: The ability to assess risky situations and determine whether they will result in long-term benefit is a byproduct of your prefrontal cortex. Those who are poor at assessing risk may have underdeveloped prefrontal regions. The ability to turn down immediate gratification for long-term rewards is a result of this region.
  • Short-term memory: Your short-term memory function is influenced by the prefrontal cortex. When still in development, your short-term memory isn’t as good as it will be by the time you’re 25. As the brain continues to mature, your cognitive function and memorization capacity will improve.”

 

As I watch the news I’ve noticed that the “rule” rather than the “exception” are young people in their teens and/or early twenties that seem to be creating most of the havoc at protests and anti-protest movements, or even being active in the terrorist activities, not just in this country but abroad.  So many of these young people, who still do not have the advantage of a mature brain, have been indoctrinated (brainwashed) into certain belief systems by parents, teachers, leaders, friends, false information via professors, social media,  biased news sources, and government officials, who have no excuse other than ideology and their love of power and money, at their core.  Leaders of countries who take advantage of the young while they themselves sit back, away from physical harm, and reap the rewards of gaining more power and/or money, at the expense of the lives of the young and other innocent victims as they encourage them to burn, loot, look toward destruction as a solution, engage in hateful rhetoric, or wrap a bomb around their waist.

Someone this week asked the question “What causes extremism?”  In my humble opinion, I just stated the reasons.  Oh yes, I’ve heard that “poverty” causes crime, and when it comes to terrorists, that we just need to love and hug them (according to the naive Hollywood attention grabbers who want to get another five minutes of fame), and the typical explanation that they are on the “right” instead of the “left”, or visa versa, of the political isle, but I strongly  disagree with all these excuses because that is what they are – excuses!  I’ve been to third world countries that know poverty worst than anything experienced in our country or abroad and their poverty only proved to me that poverty does not cause crime because the crime rates are very low except for recently with the rise of extremism caused by various anarchist groups.

We’ve all heard the phrase “leading the sheep to water”, but isn’t it the same thing when mature adults lead our young, whose brains haven’t even matured yet, into a life of chaos, crime, and murder?

  • No, we don’t need a reason!  We can do that!
  • Oh, you want to wait until you have a boy, not a girl!  We can do that!
  • We know the due date is tomorrow, but we can do your abortion today!  We can do that!
  • The taxpayers have a lot of money so lets just give more of it to Medicaid! –  We can do that!
  • No, we won’t tell your parents!  We can do that!
  • You’re a minor!  The father is how old?  It’s okay to tell us that, but don’t tell the officials.  We can do that!

“Oregon’s Governor signed a law that would force all Oregon insurers to cover abortions, whatever the reason, at no cost to patients. House Bill 3391-B compels insurers, public or private, to provide a whole swathe of “reproductive services” free of cost and regardless of income, insurance type, citizenship status, or gender identity. Because the bill prohibits insurers from shifting costs to customers in the form of higher deductibles or co-pays, private insurers will be forced to eat the costs — or, more likely, to distribute them among their customers through higher premiums. Medicaid will receive an extra $10 million from the state to cover the procedures. Rammed through both chambers of the state legislature on party lines, the bill has finally been signed by Democratic Governor Kate Brown.”

Industry Watchdog Reinforces Call for New Leadership at USDA National Organic Program

“Non-organic corn and soy, labeled as organic, are flooding U.S. ports, undercutting legitimate U.S. organic farmers, due to the USDA’s negligence. The organic industry’s most aggressive industry watchdog, The Cornucopia Institute, reinforced their call for USDA Secretary Sonny Perdue to correct the chronic pattern of gross corruption at the National Organic Program (NOP) by replacing the incompetent management.

Cornucopia’s letter to Perdue follows the release of a new investigation by The Washington Post documenting massive shipments of fraudulent organic grains entering the U.S. from China and Eastern Europe. The May 13 article, The labels said ‘organic.’ But these massive imports of corn and soybeans weren’t, details how easy it has been for exporters to sell gross amounts of fraudulent “organic” commodities to U.S. markets.”

(AP) “House Minority Leader pictured standing, far right, speaks while colleagues play solitaire Monday night as the House convened to vote on a new budget. The guy sitting in the row in front of these two….he’s on Facebook, and the guy behind Hennessy is checking out the baseball scores. These are the folks that couldn’t get the budget out by Oct. 1,  and are about to control your health care, cap and  trade, and the  list goes on and on.
          
Should  we buy them larger screen computers – or  – a ticket  home, permanently? 

This  is one of their 3-DAY WORK WEEKS that we all pay for (salary is about $179,000 per year).”   We can stop this waste of money and time, but to do so, we have to take the time to voice our opinions via phone calls, e-mails, and letters to our representatives.
