Have you heard?

Today Bishop Thomas Paprocki of the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois issued a Decree barring state legislators who voted for radical pro-abortion bills from receiving Holy Communion.

I had the honor of sharing a podium with Bishop Paprocki during a huge pro-life rally in the Illinois Capitol back in March. His courage and clarity were inspiring that day.

But his action today is even more inspiring.

Bishop Paprockil

Bishop Paprocki clearly spelled out the grave evil and injustice of abortion. He explained that Christian legislators have a duty to defend the lives of unborn children. He backed up his words with Canon Law.

He even singled out by name the two legislators who pushed these bills through the Illinois General Assembly: House Leader Mike Madigan, and Senate Leader John Cullerton.

I was so inspired by Bishop Paprocki’s Decree that I want to send him a special letter of thanks. Would you like to join me?

Click here to add your name to my letter thanking Bishop Paprocki for being such a courageous leader of the Church!

And please forward this message to all your pro-life contacts. I want to offer Bishop Paprocki a tremendous outpouring of support.

Our leaders so often disappoint us. But here we have a case of a true leader, one who stands up for the truth without compromise.

I hope you and all your pro-life friends will join me in thanking Bishop Paprocki for being such a bold and courageous shepherd of the Church!
