“Chalk It Up For Life” is a prolife sidewalk chalkart contest for youth in Kindergarten to 12th grade. Right to Life of Michigan is hosting the event in collaboration with St. Alfred Catholic Church in Taylor on Saturday, September 23, 2017.
The youth chalk drawings will involve the theme “God loves babies.” This life-affirming theme reminds us that every human life, born and unborn, baby or adult, is created in the image and likeness of God. Life is precious at every stage!
The contest will be held from noon to 2 p.m. at the northeast parking lot of St. Alfred Catholic Church at 24175 Baske St. in Taylor.
All youth artists must pre-register and have parental permission to participate. For registrations forms and information please contact Tina at outreach@rtl.org or (313) 212-1326. The deadline for all registration and permission forms is September 15, 2017. Space is limited – register early.
Youth artists will be sorted into three age divisions: Kindergarten to 4th grade, 5th to 8th grade, and 9th to 12th grade. Judges will select 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for each division. All participating youth artists will receive a special Right to Life of Michigan participation keepsake.
