If this song touched your heart, please consider joining a local Pro-Life group, or at the very least share the information on social media, and encourage those that work so hard to continue their “cause”. We must all stand, work, and pray together so NOT “Another Little One’s Gone”.
Even if you don’t have the time or desire to attend monthly meetings, groups like ours have many local events or actions that you can take from home. It may be as simply giving us a “thumbs up” at a local parade, visit us at a local Art Fair where we always have a booth, watch our high school students compete in an Oratory and/or Infographic Contest, volunteer in our March for Life or Life Chain, or when doing your spring cleaning, give a local group items to sell that you no longer want or need so proceeds can go to a local Crisis Pregnancy Center.
We often post Petitions or respectfully ask people to participate in our work, which I always will post here on the blog, such as our 4 week campaign to try to help Judge Neil Gorsuch get confirmed as a Supreme Court Justice. Yesterday we just asked people to share a video on Facebook, and for the next three Mondays we will be providing information to e-mail, call, or fax your local representatives, and other easy to do things that help our fight for LIFE!
Like us on Facebook – Upper Downriver Right to Life.
Please read the following e-mail message from Chris Gast, which contains information of our plan of action for confirmation of prolife Supreme Court Judge, Neil Gorsuch. You may also visit our website www.rtl.org for more information regarding Judge Gorsuch.
Thanking you in advance for all your support!
Many blessings to you and yours!
Chris
Following Judge Neil Gorsuch’s nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court, we said we’d get back to you with some additional action items at key moments. With Gorsuch’s first hearing day set for March 20, we are sending out this plan to keep positive momentum going into the crucial hearings.
Every week on Monday we’ll have a new action item for you to do and encourage others to do . Below are the items for each week. We will be following up each Monday with specific details.
February 27 – Share a pro-Gorsuch video via social media or e-mail (Share this video for our first Monday action.)
March 6 – Call Senators Stabenow and Peters
March 13 – Submit an editorial to your local paper and encourage members to send letters to the editor
March 20 – Post on social media about the hearings beginning
Already nine Democrats have indicated they won’t or probably will not filibuster Gorsuch, meaning they might not have enough votes to filibuster him. Those senators could easily change their minds, and that’s why your grassroots voices will be crucial in countering another potential assault from the mainstream media.
If you have any questions about the plan, or items each week, please let me know!

A planned demonstration outside Planned Parenthood (near Wayne State University) on Saturday, February 11, 2017, by Pro-life advocates, quickly turned into a support rally for the facility (Planned Parenthood) and women’s rights, with approximately 1,000 people, when the majority sign-carrying women, turned out in front of the office and lined both sides of Cass between West Canfield and Willis. Counter protests by Pro-choice advocates were largely coordinated and spread via Planned Parenthood and social media such as Facebook, who fear that the new administration wants to cut federal funding for Planned Parenthood and to ban most abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy, by a President who has pledged to sign both measures should they reach his desk.
According to the Detroit News, “The initial demonstration was one of 225 anti-abortion public awareness protests taking place across the nation Saturday, including 15 locations across Michigan, according to Monica Migliorino Miller, director of Citizens for a Pro-Life Society, who estimated about 100 of her group’s supporters showed up at the Cass Avenue location….Similar protest were also held at Planned Parenthood clinics Ferndale, Livonia, Warren, Ann Arbor, Burton, Grand Rapids, Jackson, Kalamazoo, Marquette, Muskegon, Petoskey, and Traverse City.”
Action in a local Pro-life group is imperative, as is making your voice heard via social media, contacting your representatives, and teaching our young via conversation based on fact, not the fiction that they are seeing and hearing that has taken over most schools, protests, and on the news. Unlike Planned Parenthood who is funded so deeply by the government and big corporations to organize and advertise (we cannot compete with them on that large of a scale as our work is mostly done on a volunteer basis, or private donations), so we have to band together in greater numbers, make whatever financial contributions you can, and by using any source necessary to get the TRUTH out there to the women of childbearing age, or even before. It is a sad commentary that young high school students who are so misinformed can skip school to protest with the Pro-choice group and be encouraged by their teachers to do so. If you have a blog, a twitter account, a Facebook account, or any other type of social media source, use them as a tool to fight for LIFE.
Planned Parenthood may be able to do more in someways than we can with their access of money, but we can win this fight because we have GOD and TRUTH on our side. Pray that the new administration follows through with their promises. Pray that when you speak, God will help you find the right words to say. Pray that we can get more ultrasounds to use as they help a mom choose between life and death. Pray that you will be led to make a difference in someone’s life. Pray for our sidewalk counsellors, our Crisis Pregnancy Centers, and all of the people who are also praying for an end to abortion.
Matthew 18:19 Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.
Job 22:27 You will pray to him, and he will hear you, and you will fulfill your vows.
Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
Matthew: 7:7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”
Psalm 37:6 Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Psalm 91:15 When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.
Please read the below context of this e-mail in entirety. Please do all you can do to get the word out on Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch. Share with prolife family and friends. Thank you for all you do, you are each much appreciated!
Blessings,

This is our opportunity to impact the direction of the U.S. Supreme Court! There are three points we need to get across to people as Judge Neil Gorsuch faces a nomination fight:
Judge Gorsuch is well qualified to serve on the Supreme Court.
Judge Gorsuch deserves a fair hearing and should not be filibustered.
Judge Gorsuch believes in the rule of law. Voters and their representatives write the laws, not judges using their personal bias.
Here are three things we are asking you to do now, and to also ask your members and others to do. You can simply forward this e-mail, or copy it as you see fit.
Contact Gary Peters and Debbie Stabenow and ask for an up or down vote.
Post on social media or e-mail others supporting the nomination.
Submit a letter to the editor to your local paper.
Below are samples you can use or borrow from for the above action items.
Please allow an up-or-down vote on Judge Neil Gorsuch for the U.S. Supreme Court. Judge Gorsuch is a well-qualified candidate with a similar judicial philosophy to the justice he is replacing, Antonin Scalia. He was previously approved by the U.S. Senate unanimously. A filibuster of Judge Gorsuch’s nomination would violate the will of voters who expressed their wishes on Election Day.

Judge Neil Gorsuch is well qualified and deserves a fair hearing in the Senate, not a filibuster #SCOTUS
Twitter #2:
America deserves Supreme Court justices like Neil Gorsuch who respect the rule of law & the democratic process #SCOTUS
Facebook #1:
I think Neil Gorsuch is a good pick. He’s well qualified, and he will respect the rule of law. In our country the voters and their elected representatives are supposed to be writing laws, not biased judges using their own personal opinions.
Facebook #2:
Senate Democrats have a history of badly mistreating judicial nominees or filibustering them, simply because they disagree about the role of judges. Judge Neil Gorsuch respects the rule of law and is well qualified for the Supreme Court, he deserves a fair hearing.
Letter to the editor #1:
Our government relies on three co-equal branches of government. Congress writes the laws. The President assents and executes the laws. The Judiciary applies the law to cases and controversies. For too many times in our nation’s history, this has not been how our government operates. Our Supreme Court and lower court judges have often legislated from the bench. They have substituted their personal bias for the will of voters and their elected representatives. This harms our democratic system. Imagine a football game where the outcome depends on which referee is calling the game. Judge Neil Gorsuch, President Trump’s nominee to replace Antonin Scalia on the U.S. Supreme Court, is a judge who will rule based on the law, not his personal feelings. He’s well qualified to serve, and deserves a fair hearing in the U.S. Senate. Let’s leave lawmaking to the voters and their elected lawmakers.
Letter to the editor #2:
Judge Neil Gorsuch is a well-qualified judge with a lot of experience. He has degrees from Columbia, Harvard and Oxford. He has served as a U.S. circuit court judge for 10 years. Judge Gorsuch will respect the rule of law and the role of judges in our democratic system. Justice Antonin Scalia, who Gorsuch is nominated to replace on the U.S. Supreme Court, was also a firm believer that voters and their representatives write laws, and judges should apply laws as they are written. Judge Gorsuch deserves a fair hearing in the U.S. Senate, and should not be filibustered simply because Senate Democrats don’t like him or voters’ decision during the election. Elections have consequences and changes should be in the hands of our voters, not unelected judges. Let judges judge and let voters decide our future. Chris Gast
