The Lincoln Park Crisis Pregnancy Center (CPC) serves the areas of Allen Park, Taylor, Dearborn, parts of Southeast Detroit, Melvindale, Wyandotte and Southgate (zip codes of 48208, 48216, 48210, 48209, 48218, 48229, 48217, 48122, and 48125). They help approximately 1,000 pregnant mom’s each year, and currently have twenty eight (28) volunteers that work at the center.
All items are donated by various individuals, groups, churches, and other organizations, as well as a variety of local fundraising events throughout the year.
The CPC gives free pregnancy tests, referrals for medical care, housing, further education, financial assistance, legal assistance, community assistance, counseling of alternatives to abortion, support groups, information on sexually transmitted infections, and childbirth and other classes.
Also offered are ongoing personal counseling, referrals for foster home care for baby, prenatal and postnatal guidance, referrals for adoption information, assistance with career planning, as well as offering post abortion counseling and support groups.
The CPC is an independent, nonpolitical, non-sectarian center, and they are prepared to help you whether you are single or married, regardless of age, race, or religion. The CPC cares about both the mom and baby and understands that some moms may be facing perhaps the greatest personal crisis of their life. NO ONE HAS TO FACE IT ALONE because moms and their babies are important, valuable human beings with basic rights and individual needs.
The Crisis Pregnancy Center is located on the northwest corner of Fort Street and Southfield Road, at 1760 Fort Street, Lincoln Park, MI 48146. Phone number is (313) 386-4005.
Hours open: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and on Wednesday and Thursday from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
If you live in the area, we are always looking for more volunteers to work at the CPC, be it answering the phones, unpacking and placing specific articles of clothing, toys, cribs, diapers, baby wipes, formula, etc. in their proper place, greeting the moms that come to our center, or helping in any way possible.
Should you have any articles for baby (clothes, toys, diapers, formula, strollers, etc. ) or mom (maternity clothes), please consider donating them to the CPC, and encourage family and friends to do the same. The moms we help are the ones who chose LIFE instead of ABORTION, and as a community, we need to do all that we can to help more moms make the same decision.
