Website: www.cpc4lp.Com

If you live in the area, we are always looking for more volunteers to work at the CPC, be it answering the phones, unpacking and placing specific articles of clothing, toys, cribs, diapers, baby wipes, formula, etc. in their proper place, greeting the moms that come to our center, or helping in any way possible.

Should you have any articles for baby (clothes, toys, diapers, formula, strollers, etc. ) or mom (maternity clothes), please consider donating them to the CPC, and encourage family and friends to do the same. The moms we help are the ones who chose LIFE instead of ABORTION, and as a community, we need to do all that we can to help more moms make the same decision.

In the United States, a recent Gallup Poll found that 84% of males supported euthanasia compared to 64% of females.  Some cite the prior studies showing that women have a higher level of religiosity and moral conservatism as an explanation. Within both sexes, there are differences in attitudes towards euthanasia due to other influences. For example, one study found that black American women are 2.37 times more likely to oppose euthanasia than white American women. Black American men are 3.61 times more likely to oppose euthanasia than white American men.”

The 30th annual National Life Chain will be Sunday, October 2 from 2-3:30 pm

life-chain

Metro Detroit and Michigan Life Chain locations began shortly after the first Life Chain that took place in Yuba City, Caliornia.
Since that time it has grown to include 1900 locations throughout the United States and Canada.  In Michigan last year there were 104 locations with 43 of them in Metro Detroit, most of which have already been confirmed as renewed for the first Sunday of October, which is October 2nd this year.
The Life Chain is a quiet, peaceful, prayerful witness along major roadways.  People young and older hold signs witnessing to the value of each human life from conception to natural death.  Participants pray for the protection of the unborn as they hold the sign “Abortion Kills Children.”  That sign has saved hundreds of babies over the years.  Mothers have come forward years later to thank participants and introduce the child she had planned to abort.  The simple, straight forward message changes minds and hearts and has saved many children.
Other signs witness to the loving concern of the Life Chain participants:
  • Abortion hurts Women
  • Pray for an end to Abortion
  • Adoption: the loving option
  • El Aborto Mata Ninos
  • Life: the First Inalienable Right
  • Pregnant?  Need Help?  800-57-WOMAN
As the end of life is more often threatened, another sign can be seen in the Life Chain: “Assisted Suicide Kills.”
Life Chains are organized entirely by volunteers.  The National Director Royce Dunn, the webmasters and state directors are unpaid.  Many of the local coordinators are dedicated individuals or churches.  Others are organized by affiliates of Right to Life of Michigan.  The Right to Life Lifespan committee organizes 42 Life Chains in southeast Michigan.  Any donations above and beyond the cost of signs are directed to local Pregnancy Centers who assist mothers and their babies.
Families and individuals interested in participating in this year’s Life Chain can find a location near them at www.lifechain.net.  There is also information about starting a new Life Chain.  New Life Chains this year include Woodhaven and Flint.  The Flint Life Chain and a few others are organized in conjunction with 40 Days for Life, another group committed to protecting unborn children through witness and prayer.
Following the Life Chain, from 3:30 to 5:00 pm, there will be an Open House at the Right to Life of Michigan Wayne County Resource Center at 2010 Eureka Road, Wyandotte.  Call 734-282-6100 for further information.

ELECTION PRAYER

By Servant of God – Fr. John A. Hardon, SJ

LORD JESUS CHRIST, you told us to give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and to God what belongs to God. Enlighten the minds of our people in America. May we choose a President of the United States, and other government officials, according to your Divine will. Give our citizens the courage to choose leaders of our nation who respect the sanctity of unborn human life, the sanctity of marriage, the sanctity of marital relations, the sanctity of family, and the sanctity of aging. Grant us the wisdom to give You, what belongs to You, our God. If we do this, as a nation, we are confident You will give us an abundance of Your blessings through our elected leaders. Amen

Debunking Planned Parenthood’s “3%” Abortion Myth

right-to-life-of-michigan

Planned Parenthood’s misleading marketing

Despite recent language from abortion supporters endorsing abortion as a positive good to be “shouted” from the rooftops, Planned Parenthood knows that they must downplay abortion to maintain the hundred of millions of taxpayer dollars they receive every year. The American people broadly oppose tax funding of abortions.

Share the above  video and educate others.  Video created by the prolife group “Live Action” that shows how Planned Parenthood attempts to hide their commitment to abortion.

Hispanic Heritage Month is a Time for Celebration, but We Must Get the Word Out to the Hispanic Community About Abortion.

Print

Hispanic Heritage Month began in 1988 when President Ronald Reagan ( Republican) extended Hispanic Heritage Week to a 30-day period. President Lyndon B. Johnson inaugurated the original week-long celebration in 1968.

Reagan’s extension officially became law on Aug. 17, 1988, with the enactment of Public Law 100-402. Hispanic Heritage Month lasts from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15 every year. The celebration’s opening day coincides with the celebration of national independence in five Latin American countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. The month also includes Mexican Independence Day on Sept. 16 and Chilean Independence Day on Sept. 18. The extended month also includes Columbus Day on Oct. 12, which many people in Latin America celebrate as Día de la Raza.

Celebrate life for Hispanic Heritage Month – but let’s talk FACT about abortion!

Hispanic women make up about 16 percent of all women in the United States yet they have 25 percent of all abortions, according to the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute. Abortion clearly has a disparate impact on people of Hispanic ethnicity.

Every day about 720 Hispanic women will abort their unborn child. These and all other women need to be reached with a pro-life message. During this Hispanic Heritage Month, take a look at our many Spanish language resources and share them to help raise awareness about the high abortion numbers within the Hispanic community.

A strong community values every individual in it.

  • Today, more than 720 Hispanic women will make the choice to abort their unborn child.  Facts you should know and share (313) 212-1326 • www.RTL.org
  • People of Hispanic origin in the United States account for 16.3% of the total U.S. Population – 50,325,523 (US Census 2010)
  • Hispanic women are having a disproportionate number of abortions. Hispanic and African-American women together total more than half of all the abortions in the United States — in fact, 55% (Alan Guttmacher Institute 2008)
  • 25% of all abortions are being performed on Hispanic women (AGI 2008) but they represent more than 16% of the female population (US Census 2010)
  • More than 264,500 unborn Hispanic babies die each year as a result of legalized abortion (AGI 2008)
  • For women who are 15 – 44 years old, the abortion rate for non-Hispanic whites is 7.7
per 1000, but it changes to 15.3 per 1000 for Hispanic women (Center for Disease Control 2012)

A Heapin' Plate of Conservative Politics & Religion

Barack Obama was an affirmative-action president.

He had a thin resumé and mysterious past. But he was Black and cool, or as Joe Biden clumsily said, “clean.”

The mainstream media (MSM) went all in for him, pointedly downplaying his resumé and mysterious past at the same time they dug into Sara Palin’s, and later Mitt Romney’s, for any dirt they could find. The media bias was unprecedented.

It had an impact on the Republicans.

Knowing that the media had his back, Obama was brazen in his trampling of the Constitution. For example, he refused to comply with the War Powers Act when bombing Libya.

He refused to enforce Congressional provisions in Obamacare because he didn’t like them.

He forced Universities to ignore Constitutionally-enacted procedural protections in the case of sexual assault allegations.

He casually brushed aside the IRS scandal and didn’t indict anyone.

He trampled on bankruptcy…
