Dear art contest participants,

On behalf of Upper Downriver Right to Life I want to thank everyone who participated in our third Annual Christmas themed art contest for children. We were very inspired by the creativity of the entries and judging them was a challenge for our panel since beauty comes in many forms.

Printed cards and prizes for the first and second place winners will be awarded at the Upper Downriver Right to Life meeting on Tuesday, November 10 at 7:00 p.m. at the Right to Life of Michigan Resource Center, 2010 Eureka Rd., Wyandotte. Original artwork will be returned to the artists at that time.

Congratulations to all who took part, and especially to our First and Second Place entrants in each age group as listed below.

Grades 5-8: First Place: Maya Hehall, grade 7, John Paul II School
Second Place: Heliene Layton, grade 5, Grogan Elementary, Southgate

Grades 9-12: First Place: Katelyn Lesko, grade 9, Roosevelt High School
Second Place: Anastasia Evich, grade 9, home schooled

Prizes to be awarded in each age group are as follows:

First Place: (Grades 5-8 is $50: Grades 9-12 is $100) and 10 Christmas cards of the winners design from each age group.

Second Place: 10 Christmas cards of the second place winner’s design in each age group.

The first place winners have been made into Christmas cards which are available for sale as packages of 10 for $10.  Please help us spread the pro-life message by letting others know that the cards are for sale at the Resource Center.  If your church, school or organization would like to sell them, they can be taken on consignment.
