I know there is nothing Hillary Clinton or anyone else can say that will ever make me change my religious beliefs, my belief in the sanctity of life, or my moral or ethical standards, and I’m pretty positive most people feel the same way as I do. Try as they may with their hypocritical words, their mandated laws, and their desire to control, the last I heard a democracy is:
- a form of government in which people choose leaders by voting (so keep this in mind when you go to the polls. Know who you are voting for and what they stand for. Look at their actions, check out the ways they voted or stood on various issues in the past, and most of all do not depend on their words alone. Did they believe one way and then switched positions because they thought they could get more votes?)
-
an organization or situation in which everyone is treated equally and has equal rights (and that means we all have the right to believe as we do, practice the religion we choose, to speak up for what we believe, and it does not mean anyone has the right to force us into their way of thinking or acting. No matter what side you are on, we have the right to our own individual beliefs and choices. If an individual, or any religious organization does not believe in abortion or anything else, our tax dollars should not be used to perform them, or laws passed that force us into doing what goes against our beliefs, nor should they be fined or forced out of business for the sake of the opposing view.)
Democracy does not mean the leaders of the county have a right to side with lobbyists against the desire of the people, or large corporation or donors who contribute to their campaigns. Democracy means “government of the people, by the people, for the people”
